A 2-year-old child has died after she was left in a hot car for several hours. According to police, a Florida woman is facing criminal charges in the death of a 2-year-old child who was left in a hot vehicle.
Juana Perez-Domingo, 43, is accused of aggravated manslaughter of a child, according to jail records.

Perez-Domingo was supposed to have taken the child to daycare in Homestead early Friday morning. She took the child to her own house first because the daycare wasn’t open yet.
Somehow, she got preoccupied and forgot about the child in her car until about seven hours later when she returned to the vehicle.
Perez-Domingo allegedly phoned the child’s mother and then drove the child to the mother’s home, according to a Miami-Dade police report. By that time, the child had already died.
The police statement added that Perez-Domingo did not have a driver’s license.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday.
